Whole Milk Club is run by Catherine Askew and Mark Ogden. This Privacy Policy describes how and when the Whole Milk Club collects data from you, and how we use it. Please read this statement, and if you have any further questions or requests regarding your data, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Information we collect

If you are simply a site user of the Whole Milk Club, then we will collect Cookies and Usage Data via Google Analytics, and the inbuilt analytics of our web host, Squarespace.

In the event that you are one of our wonderful newsletter subscribers, then we only have the information that you have given to us voluntarily in order for us to add you to our mailing list: your email address, which is mandatory for the service, and optionally your first and/or last name. This data is held in MailChimp.


Why we need your information and how we use it

The information gathered from our website analytics is used to understand how our website is performing, and to generally analyse trends which help us to improve our services for our audience.

After receiving affirmative consent, we use your e-mail address to remind you about our blog, and share cool food and travel content in the form of our newsletter, which is generally sent out once a month.


Information sharing and disclosure

Under no circumstances is your data ever sold to or shared with a third party.

We may share your data in the rare instance that we are required to by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ourselves or others.


Data Retention

Your information will be kept until you notify us otherwise; you have the right to be forgotten, so simply contact us if you would like your data to be destroyed. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time by either contacting us, or using the unsubscribe link in the footer of the newsletter.


Your Rights

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the personal information we hold, please contact us. You also have the right to be forgotten, so you can contact us to request the data we hold be destroyed.

If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
